Objetiva-se discutir as histórias e
memórias da luta pela terra dos assentados
nos campos do Pontal do Paranapanema-SP, a
partir das experiências de projetos de Reforma
Agrária, especialmente das ações dos posseiros
da gleba Ribeirão Bonito, em Teodoro Sampaio,
hoje área transformada em assentamentos
rurais, tendo em vista as mudanças no modo
de vida dos agentes envolvidos, de posseiros
a assentados. Mas, anterior a esta reflexão
buscamos problematizar a história agrária
no Pontal, com ênfase para as práticas do
Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem
Terra (MST) nas ocupações das fazendas
Nova Pontal, em Rosana, e São Bento e Santa
Clara, em Mirante do Paranapanema, no início
dos anos 1990, chamando a atenção para o
fato de que os sem-terra no Pontal, dos anos
1990 e do tempo presente, são os frutos das
sementes germinadas outrora, desde a luta
dos arrendatários, a partir dos anos 1920,
aos pequenos posseiros das glebas Ribeirão
Bonito, Santa Rita, entre outras, nas décadas
de 1970 e 1980.

Abstract:
We aim to discuss the stories
and memories of the settlement struggle in
the fields of Pontal do Paranapanema-SP,
based on the experiences of Agrarian Reform
projects, especially the actions of squatters in
Ribeirão Bonito, in Teodoro Sampaio, now an
area transformed into settlements rural, sighting
changes in the way of life of the subjects
involved, from squatters to settlers. But before
this reflection we seek to problematize agrarian
history in Pontal, with emphasis on the practices
of the Landless Workers’ Movement (MST) in
the occupations of the Nova Pontal, Rosana,
and São Bento and Santa Clara farms in Mirante
do Paranapanema, in the early 1990s, drawing
attention to the fact that the landless in Pontal in
the 1990s and in the present tense are the fruits
of the seeds previously germinated, from the
struggle of the tenants, from the 1920s to the
small squatters of the Ribeirão Bonito, Santa
Rita, among others, in the 1970s and 1980.
