POR UMA VIDA DEVOTA: FILOTEIA (1609), DE SÃO FRANCISCO DE SALES, NO CONTEXTO DA REFORMA CATÓLICA
Os séculos XVI e XVII comportam diversas transformações no Ocidente europeu, sobretudo no que tange à vida religiosa. Concomitante aos concílios ecumênicos e às bulas papais, verificam-se as Reformas protestantes e a reforma católica, eventos que atingem a religiosidade da grande comunidade europeia. É nesse contexto de fragmentação do mundo cristão que o teólogo São Francisco de Sales produz Filoteia, literatura cristã que constitui em um verdadeiro manual para a vida devota. Nosso trabalho objetiva realizar uma análise das primeira e quarta partes de Filoteia, a qual conta com uma contextualização das Reformas protestantes e da reforma católica. Não objetivamos sanar os debates acerca da temática, mas instigar a produção de novos trabalhos.

Abstract:
The sixteenth and seventeenth centuries have undergone several transformations in the European West, especially with regard to religious life. Concomitant with ecumenical councils and papal bulls are Protestant Reforms and Catholic Reform, events that affect the religiosity of the great European community. It is in this context of fragmentation of the Christian world that the theologian St. Francis de Sales produces Filoteia, Christian literature that constitutes a true manual for devout life. Our work aims to carry out an analysis of the first and fourth parts of Filoteia, which has a contextualization of Protestant Reforms and Catholic reform. We do not aim to heal debates about the subject, but instigate the production of new works.
