POR UM ENVELHECIMENTO SAUDÁVEL NA CIDADE: OS DIREITOS URBANOS DAS PESSOAS IDOSAS
O presente estudo tem por objetivo tratar da intersecção entre o direito à
cidade e o direito das pessoas idosas. O estudo foi feito a partir de pesquisa bibliográfica
nas áreas de direito urbanístico e direito das pessoas idosas, bem como a partir de
materiais produzidos pela Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS). Buscou-se encontrar
junto ao Estatuto do Idoso e à Política Nacional do Idosos as previsões relativas aos
direitos urbanos constantes do conceito de direito à cidade delineado no Estatuto da
Cidade, a fim de destacar direitos que devem ser abordados na elaboração e execução
das políticas urbanas municipais. Foi possível perceber a existência de diversos direitos
urbanos constantes na legislação da pessoa idosa, bem como foi possível destacar a
necessidade de que tais temas sejam observados com prioridade nos processos de
elaboração de políticas públicas de desenvolvimento urbano.

Abstract:
This study aims to address the intersection between the right to the city
and the right of the elderly. The study was based on bibliographic research in the areas
of urban law and the law of the elderly, as well as on materials produced by the World
Health Organization (WHO). Also, it was sought to find, together with the Elderly
Statute and the National Policy for the Elderly, the predictions related to urban rights
contained in the concept of the right to the city outlined in the City Statute, in order to
highlight rights that must be addressed in the elaboration and execution of the municipal
urban policies. It was possible to perceive the existence of several urban rights
contained in the legislation of the elderly, as well as it was possible to highlight the need
for such themes to be observed with priority in the processes of elaboration of public
policies for urban development.
