Abstract: Stress occurs spontaneously when our body adapts in response to changes, which can be due to several factors, such as epigenetics, hormones, emotional personality and behavior, food, and lifestyle habits. When, in the long term, our organism does not return to what it was configured to do leaving it at the mercy of adverse effects and thus generating illness – we enter the health-disease process. This review was necessary for us to understand the reason for how and why our body reacts differently from another.
