POR QUE MARATONAMOS? Reflexões sobre binge watching a partir da abordagem do Uso e Gratificações
Este artigo tem como tema a produção de ficção seriada e o surgimento do comportamento de binge watching. Diante do cenário de mudanças na subjetividade da audiência e na forma de consumo do entretenimento via plataformas digitais, pergunta-se: quais motivações contribuem para a adoção do comportamento de binge watching na Netflix junto ao público jovem? Para responder à questão, uma pesquisa exploratória-descritiva, baseada em revisão bibliográfica, aplicação de questionário e realização de grupos focais foi adotada. Resultados indicam que compartilhamento, relaxamento, envolvimento e conexão emocional com a narrativa são os fatores mais indicados pelos maratonistas regulares.

Abstract:
This article theme is the production of serial fcition and the development of the behaviour called binge watching. Given the changing scenario of the audience subjectivity and the way consumers deal with entertainment via digital plataforms, we wondered what are the motivations that contribute to the adoption of that behaviour among young audience who also are users of Netflix. To answer the question an exploratory-descreptive research, based on literature review, questionnaire and focus groups were adopted.
