Abstract: The purpose of this research was to conduct bibliographic analyses using qualitative resources. Topics addressed included policies to encourage innovation, regional development of the Amazon, and possibilities for cooperation between companies, governments, and research institutions. A vast collection of studies, accompanied by significant data, highlighted the importance of exploring this issue for the region. In the knowledge era, the pursuit of technological innovation to increase competitiveness proved to be of paramount importance for regional growth. The analysis highlighted programs such as the National Innovation System (SNI) and the Innovation Law, which were crucial for technological advancement in Brazil. Specific examples of success included the Centelha Program, which transformed innovative ideas into viable businesses, and the Electric Sector Technological Research and Development Program (P&D ANEEL), which invested over R$ 10 billion in projects, improving the quality of electricity service in the Amazon and promoting the use of alternative energy sources. Furthermore, the Amazônia Conectada Program illustrated how the expansion of fiber optic infrastructure in the region promoted digital inclusion and access to public services, connecting isolated cities and communities. These programs not only improved technological infrastructure but also created jobs and trained local professionals, strengthening the regional economy. From this analysis, a deeper understanding of the relationship between public policies to promote innovation and the regional development of the Amazon was achieved, as well as providing essential data for the formulation of more effective public policies and cooperation strategies in the region. Additionally, the research provided valuable insights for future studies, promoting innovation and technological development in the Amazon.
