POLICIAMENTO ESCOLAR NO ESTADO DO PARÁ: ANÁLISE DE MODELOS, DESAFIOS E IMPACTOS NA SEGURANÇA E CONVIVÊNCIA EDUCACIONAL

O presente artigo analisa o modelo de policiamento escolar no Estado do Pará, investigando suas estratégias, desafios operacionais e impactos na segurança e convivência educacional. Partindo do contexto nacional de aumento da violência em ambientes escolares, o estudo focaliza as particularidades da realidade paraense, onde a atuação policial nas escolas envolve iniciativas como a Ronda Escolar, PROERD, PMZITO e Projeto Escola Segura além de projetos locais. Por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa, combinando análise documental, dados oficiais, o artigo identifica os principais avanços e limitações desse modelo de policiamento. Entre os resultados, destacam-se a carência de recursos humanos e a necessidade de maior integração entre segurança e abordagem pedagógica. Conclui-se que, embora a presença policial contribua para a redução de incidentes graves, sua efetividade depende de políticas intersetoriais que associem prevenção à violência, promoção de direitos humanos e investimento em mediação de conflitos. O estudo sugere a ampliação de programas de formação continuada para os profissionais de segurança e a adoção de mecanismos de avaliação periódica, visando um equilíbrio entre proteção e garantia de um ambiente escolar democrático.

  • Abstract: This article analyzes the school policing model in the state of Pará, investigating its strategies, operational challenges, and impacts on security and educational coexistence. Starting from the national context of increased violence in school environments, the study focuses on the particularities of the reality in Pará, where police action in schools involves initiatives such as the School Patrol, PROERD (Educational Program for Resistance to Drugs and Violence), PMZITO (Military Police Special Operations Unit), and the Safe School Project, in addition to local projects. Through a qualitative approach, combining document analysis and official data, the article identifies the main advances and limitations of this policing model. Among the results, the lack of human resources and the need for greater integration between security and pedagogical approaches stand out. It concludes that, although police presence contributes to the reduction of serious incidents, its effectiveness depends on intersectoral policies that associate violence prevention, promotion of human rights, and investment in conflict mediation. The study suggests expanding continuing education programs for security professionals and adopting periodic evaluation mechanisms, aiming for a balance between protection and guaranteeing a democratic school environment.
