Abstract: This study analyzes the influence of Truth and Juridical Forms by Michel Foucault on the understanding of contemporary social behavior, proposing that this work constitutes a fundamental theoretical tool for interpreting the articulation between power, truth, and law in advanced modernity. From an archaeological and genealogical perspective, the paper argues that Foucault redefines truth not as a universal principle, but as a historical construction inseparable from power relations operating through institutional dispositifs. Within this framework, legal institutions do not merely regulate conduct; they produce regimes of truth that shape subjectivities, delimit frameworks of legitimacy, and structure social practices. The analysis further explores the notion of disciplinary power as a constitutive feature of modernity, highlighting its mechanisms of surveillance, examination, and normalization, as well as its expansion into digital and technological environments. The continuing relevance of the concept of biopolitics is also examined in contemporary contexts characterized by algorithmic surveillance, identity regulation, and large-scale data management. Additionally, the confessional and ethical dimension of power is addressed, emphasizing the processes of subjectivation and self-regulation that permeate modern experience. The study concludes that Foucauldian thought remains highly relevant for problematizing contemporary configurations of power, revealing the contingent nature of social truths and opening a critical horizon oriented toward resistance and the transformation of institutional and discursive structures that shape social life.
