Poder Legislativo
Este livro, “Políticas para Jovens”, originou-se do projeto de extensão, desenvolvido no município da Franca/SP, de 2010 a 2020, voltado para atender às necessidades das aulas de educação cidadã que possuía como público-alvo os estudantes de ensino médio.
No primeiro capítulo, é apresentada a história da política brasileira, com especial atenção ao período de redemocratização que se iniciou em 1985, com o fim da ditadura militar. Em seguida, discorre-se no segundo capítulo sobre o poder executivo e o seu funcionamento nos níveis municipal, estadual e federal. A terceira seção do livro, por sua vez, trata das especificidades do poder legislativo, incluindo, por exemplo, a estrutura bicameral no âmbito federal, formada pelo Senado e pela Câmara dos Deputados. O quarto capítulo do livro apresenta o poder judiciário, detalhando os diversos órgãos que compõem a sua estrutura no Brasil. Logo depois, os partidos políticos são o tema principal do quinto capítulo, que destaca o histórico do desenvolvimento dessas organizações no país e os obstáculos que muitas delas enfrentam na política nacional. Por fim, o último capítulo do livro discute o sistema eleitoral brasileiro, desde a sua evolução histórica até as características que diferem os sistemas eleitorais majoritários e proporcionais.

Abstract:
This book, “Policies for Young People”, originated from the extension project, developed in the municipality of Franca / SP, from 2010 to 2020, aimed at meeting the needs of the citizen education classes that had as target audience the teaching students average.
In the first chapter, the history of Brazilian politics is presented, with special attention to the period of redemocratization that began in 1985, with the end of the military dictatorship. Then, the second chapter discusses executive power and its functioning at the municipal, state and federal levels. The third section of the book, in turn, deals with the specificities of legislative power, including, for example, the bicameral structure at the federal level, formed by the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. The fourth chapter of the book presents the judiciary, detailing the various bodies that make up its structure in Brazil. Soon after, political parties are the main theme of the fifth chapter, which highlights the history of the development of these organizations in the country and the obstacles that many of them face in national politics. Finally, the last chapter of the book discusses the Brazilian electoral system, from its historical evolution to the characteristics that differentiate the majority and proportional electoral systems
