“POBRES ENTRE OS POBRES, MARGINALIZADOS ENTRE OS MARGINALIZADOS, OS ELEITOS DE DEUS”: MESSIANISMO E POBREZA ENTRE OS ISRAELITAS DA NOVA ALIANÇA NA AMÉRICA LATINA
Os movimentos messiânicos
milenaristas nasceram e se desenvolveram entre
as populações mais pobres, marginalizadas
e em situação de dominação colonial em
todos os continentes do mundo. Uma de suas
principais características é que promulgam (ou
promulgaram) a mudança dessas situações
seguindo diversas estratégias. O objetivo deste
artigo é analisar e descrever as estratégias que
a Associação Evangélica da Missão Israelita
da Nova Aliança Universal, um movimento
messiânico milenarista latino-americano, tem
posto em prática desde sua fundação para ajudar
social e economicamente seus paroquianos no
Peru, onde nasceu e na Colômbia, onde se
expandiu. A análise se realiza a partir do caso
de igrejas locais e regionais para-se entender
seu impacto. As informações foram coletadas
mediante trabalho etnográfico e faz parte do
projeto de tese de doutorado em Antropologia.

Abstract:
Messianic millenarian movements
were born and developed among the poorest,
marginalized and colonial domination in all
continents of the world. One of its main features
is that have enacted change these situations
by following different strategies. The aim of
the paper is to analyze the strategies of the
Evangelical Association of the Israelite Mission
of the New Universal Covenant. This is a Latin
American millenarian messianic movement that
has implemented since its foundation to assist
social and economically to their congregation in
Peru where he was born and in Colombia, where
it has been expanded. The analysis is done
from the case of local and regional churches
to understand its impact. The information was
collected through ethnographic work and is
part of the proposed doctoral dissertation in
anthropology.
