PLANTAS MEDICINAIS DO CERRADO: CAMINHOS PARA INCENTIVAR INSERÇÃO DA BIOPROSPECÇÃO NA REGIÃO OESTE DA BAHIA
O objetivo desta pesquisa foi
conhecer as espécies de plantas medicinais
que são utilizadas por populares da cidade
de Luís Eduardo Magalhães (BA). Para a
realização da pesquisa, foram aplicados
questionários a 15 populares sobre as plantas
que são comercializadas no município. Foram
listadas 39 plantas utilizadas como medicinais
pelos entrevistados, dentre as quais 26 tinham
confirmação da indicação terapêutica na
literatura e destas, 10 são nativas do Cerrado.
Com isso, conclui-se que é importante este
resgate cultural atrelado ao conhecimento
científico para perpetuá-lo, gerar medicamentos
de baixo custo e organizar o conhecimento
de maneira a utiliza-lo no desenvolvimento
tecnológico, ou seja, na bioprospecção.

Abstract:
The aim of this research was to
know the species of medicinal plants that are
popularly used in the city of Luís Eduardo
Magalhães (BA). The research are realized with
questionnaires that were applied to 15 citizens
were interviewed with questionanaires about
plants that are sold in city flea market. Thirty
nine plants were listed as medicinal species.
Twenty six of them had been confirmed to be
indicated for therapy in the literature. Ten of
those were native from cerrado biome. Thereat
cultural comprehension scientific knowledge
allows its perpetuation, the development of
low-cost medicines and its use in technology
enhancement or in bioprospection.
