Abstract: The use of plants for therapeutic purposes is an ancient and popularly known practice, always arousing the study and interest of the scientific community in proving the effects produced and identifying active compounds that are fundamental in the evolution of healthy treatments and medicines. Some plants have aroused scientific interest for their anti-inflammatory effects, proving to be beneficial in various diseases. This is the case with plants such as Turmeric, Pomegranate, Devil's Claw, Cat's Claw, Ginger and Arnica. Thus, this article seeks to present, after a bibliographical review on the inflammatory process and the inflation cascade, these plants, with recognized anti-inflammatory potential, their forms of use and effects studied in scientific studies.
