PLANEJAMENTO URBANO E O DESAFIO DA GESTÃO AMBIENTAL
O planejamento urbano e o desafio
da gestão ambiental sustentável. Demonstrase
a importância de inserir dentro do espaço
urbano questões ligadas à preservação do meio
ambiente, pois a sustentabilidade ambiental
constitui-se em um dos maiores desafios da
atualidade, visto que afeta o crescimento
das cidades e a qualidade de vida dos seus
habitantes. Estuda-se a inclusão de questões
ambientais dentro do ordenamento jurídico
brasileiro e sua contribuição para melhorar os
espaços urbanos. Examina-se a Constituição
Federal de 1988, o Plano Diretor, o Estatuto
das Cidades e a Lei de Parcelamento do Solo
Urbano, trazendo a abrangência da gestão
ambiental dentro desses institutos jurídicos,
reafirmando a importância de ordenar o
espaço urbano dentro do pensamento da
sustentabilidade e evidenciando a necessidade
de implementação dessas legislações dentro
dos municípios brasileiros.

Abstract:
Urban planning and the challenge
of sustainable environmental management. It
demonstrates the importance of entering in the
urban environment issues related to preservation
of the environment, because environmental
sustainability is in one of the greatest challenges
of our time , since it affects the growth of cities
and the quality of life of its inhabitants . Studying
the inclusion of environmental issues in the
Brazilian legal system and its contribution to
improve urban spaces. Examines the Federal
Constitution of 1988, the Master Plan , the
Statute of Cities and Urban Land Installment
Act , bringing the scope of environmental
management within these legal institutions ,
reaffirming the importance of ordering the urban
space within the thought of sustainability and
highlighting the need to implement these laws
within the municipalities.
