PIRTUC: 15 ANOS DEPOIS - AVALIAÇÃO DAS AÇÕES DE INSERÇÃO REGIONAL DA UHE TUCURUÍ
Este artigo relata os principais resultados da avaliação feita ao Plano de Inserção Regional da UHE Tucuruí – PIRTUC, que foi iniciado em 2002 e deverá ser concluído em 2017. Foram avaliados: o processo jurídico-administrativo de implantação das ações, o resultado dos projetos, bem como a eficácia dos mesmos na promoção do desenvolvimento sustentável. São abordados aspectos positivos e dificuldades surgidas no decorrer de seus 15 anos de existência. Foram implantados 124 projetos nos sete municípios lindeiros à barragem da UHE Tucuruí, nas áreas de educação, esporte, cultura, qualificação de instituições públicas; saúde, saneamento básico, infraestrutura, infraestrutura urbana e administrativa, renda, trabalho e qualidade de vida.

Abstract:
This study reports the main results of the assessment made to the Regional Insertion Plan of Tucuruí Hydroeletric Power Plant HPP - PIRTUC, which was started in 2002. The following issues were evaluated: the legal-administrative process for implementing the actions, the results, as well as projects effectiveness in promoting sustainable development. Positive aspects and difficulties arising during its 15 years of existence are addressed. There were implemented 124 projects in the seven municipalities bordering the lake of Tucuruí HPP, in the areas of education, sport, culture, qualification of public institutions; water and sewage, transport infrastructure, urban and administrative equipments, income, work and quality of life.
