O farmacêutico hospitalar a algum tempo atrás era visto apenas como o responsável pelo trabalho administrativo, organizando medicamentos e a área financeira relacionada. Com o passar do tempo a assistência farmacêutica de qualidade tem tido seu reconhecimento, sendo indispensável no âmbito hospitalar, garantindo o uso racional dos fármacos, realizando atenção farmacêutica primária e consequentemente contribuindo na segurança dos pacientes e da instituição onde atua, atuando ativamente nas equipes multiprofissionais.
Neste trabalho, objetivou-se através da análise da literatura compreender como o profissional farmacêutico pode influenciar de maneira positiva na gestão hospitalar. A problemática abordada foi: Quais as dificuldades enfrentadas pelo profissional farmacêutico no auxílio e na qualidade da gestão hospitalar? A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa em artigos em plataformas científicas como a Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO), sendo norteada pelo método de revisão de literatura de maneira documental e pelo método de abordagem indutivo, qualitativo e descritivo. O documento de pesquisa utilizado foi o fichamento em formato de check-list. O estudo corroborou que o profissional farmacêutico no âmbito hospitalar, garante segurança, eficácia e qualidade aos serviços prestados. Particularmente em uma instituição hospitalar, seu papel é de extrema relevância, seja no que se refere à questão econômica, uma vez que tem controle absoluto e conhecimento técnico do que é indispensável, evitando compras desnecessárias, como na parte educacional/instrucional dos colaboradores e pacientes no que se refere à parte de aconselhamento quanto ao uso racional dos medicamentos. Cabe destacar a ampliação da área de atuação desses profissionais: pesquisa clínica através de metodologia analítica e operação de novos métodos e processos produtivos de medicamentos, manipulação, drogarias, estética, entre outras áreas.

Abstract:
The hospital pharmacist some time ago was seen only as responsible for administrative work, organizing medicines and financial area. Over time, quality pharmaceutical care has been recognized, being indispensable in the hospital environment, ensuring the rational use of drugs, performing primary pharmaceutical care and consequently contributing to the safety of patients and the institution where it operates, actively acting in multidisciplinary teams. In this work, it was aimed, through the analysis of the literature, to understand how the pharmacist can positively influence hospital management. The problem addressed was: What are the difficulties faced by the pharmaceutical professional in helping and in the quality of hospital management? The methodology used was the research of articles in scientific platforms such as the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), being guided by the method of literature review in a documentary way and by the method of inductive, qualitative and descriptive approach. The research document used was the checklist format. The study corroborated that the pharmaceutical professional in the hospital, guarantees safety, efficacy and quality to the services provided. Particularly in a hospital, its role is extremely important, whether with regard to the economic issue, since it has absolute control and technical knowledge of what is essential, avoiding unnecessary purchases, as in the educational / instructional part of employees and patients with regard to the part of counseling regarding the rational use of medicines. It is worth noting the expansion of the area of expertise of these professionals: clinical research through analytical methodology and operation of new methods and production processes of medicines, manipulation, drugstores, aesthetics, among other areas.
