Abstract: ABSTRACT The transition from feudal and empirical humanity to modernity consecrated Science and method as fertile elements of discovery, thought evolution and societies. Nevertheless, for centuries, it aligned itself with a purely hegemonic and bourgeois society model meeting a scientific positivism. This article aims to discuss some reflections from the viewpoint of technical procedures on the application of participatory research in the construction of an emancipatory bias in professional teaching by means of a bibliographic approach to published material such as: books, journals and scientific articles on the topic. We present a brief discussion on the path of participatory research, its emergence, concept, purpose, breaking point, and use. We deliberated the proposal for an emancipatory participatory research in professional education, as well as the possible relationships between both, defending the ontological bias of participatory research as the critique of the process of hegemonic knowledge in today's society.
