Abstract: The contemporary soap market is driven by consumer trends toward milder products formulated with natural additives and moisturizers. Essential oils (EOs) are widely used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, with many being recognized for their medicinal properties and extensively studied for cosmetic applications. The essential oils of Lavandula angustifolia Mill. and Citrus reticulata Blanco, along with linseed vegetable oil (Linum usitatissimum L.), possess anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, and skin-healing properties, making them compelling ingredients for study and use in a liquid soap. This study aims to develop and assess the preliminary physicochemical stability of liquid soap enriched with essential oils, vegetable oil, and natural surfactants. To this end, 12 prototypes were formulated with varying concentrations of linseed oil and different types of surfactants. Based on the results, formulations F8 and F9 demonstrated physicochemical stability in terms of pH, organoleptic characteristics, and foam height and consistency. Therefore, these formulations are suitable for progression to a complete accelerated stability study.
