PERSPECTIVA DOS PROFISSIONAIS DE ENFERMAGEM ACERCA DA EMPATIA NA PRESTAÇÃO DO CUIDADO
Objetivos: compreender a empatia na prestação do cuidado pelos profissionais de enfermagem e descrever as dificuldades que os profissionais encontram para a prestação do cuidado empático e humanizado. Metodo: estudo qualitativo com base na fenomenologia compreensiva sociológica de Alfred Schutz. Contou com a participação dos profissionais de enfermagem enfermeiros e técnicos, atuantes em Estratégias Saúde da Família da zona urbana de um município do norte do Espírito Santo, Brasil. Resultados: com base na compreensão e análise dos significados individuais foi possível formar as categorias ou eixos temáticos que nos permitiram conhecer o típico que descrevem as intenções frente a empatia nos levando a entender os motivos para e os motivos porque. As quatro categorias emersas das falas foram: Definir o conceito de cuidado; Conhecer o significado de cuidado, subcategorias: Oportunizar a empatia no atendimento; Conhecer as dificuldades em ser empático; e ainda as categorias: Significar cuidado através da empatia e; Ser empático. Conclusão: compreendeu-se que os profissionais de enfermagem lidam com questões subjetivas no exercício de suas funções promovendo o cuidado, apontam que cuidado integral não pode ser fragmentado ou tecnicista. A subjetividade faz parte da enfermagem e não podemos dissociar isso da função de cuidar.

Abstract:
Objectives: to understand the empathy in the provision of care by nursing professionals and describe the difficulties that professionals encounter in providing empathic and humanized care. Method: Qualitative study based on the comprehensive sociological phenomenology of Alfred Schutz. It counted on the participation of nursing professionals, nurses and technicians, working in Family Health Strategies in the urban area of a city in the north of Espírito Santo. Results: Based on the understanding and analysis of the individual meanings, it was possible to form the categories or thematic axes that allowed us to know the typical that describe the intentions towards empathy, leading us to understand the reasons for and the reasons why. The four categories emerged from the statements were: Define the concept of care; To know the meaning of care, subcategories: Provide empathy in care; Know the difficulties in being empathetic; and also the categories: Signify care through empathy and; Be empathetic. Conclusion: it was understood that nursing professionals deal with subjective issues in the exercise of their functions by promoting care, they point out that comprehensive care cannot be fragmented or technical. Subjectivity is part of nursing and we cannot dissociate this from the care function.
