PERSPECTIVA DO PACIENTE RENAL CRÔNICO EM HEMODIÁLISE SOBRE SEU CUIDADOR
O tratamento hemodialítico muda toda a dinâmica de vida dos doentes e familiares envolvidos. As limitações e dependência do indivíduo doente determinam a necessidade de assistência e cuidado. Foram entrevistados 24 pacientes com insuficiência renal crônica em programa de hemodiálise no Centro de Diálise e Transplante Renal do Hospital Santa Lucinda em Sorocaba com intuito de identificar quem é o paciente e que é o cuidador sob a ótica do próprio paciente e compreender as relações estabelecidas entre eles. Perfil geral dos pacientes entrevistados foi traçado com as seguintes características: gênero masculino, idade entre 50-69 anos e em hemodiálise a mais de um ano. Acredita que cuidar é providenciar os cuidados como higiene, alimentação e controle da medicação e, também, oferecer amor e carinho, preocupar-se e estar junto em todos os momentos. Porém, o paciente não vê necessidade de que sua cuidadora participe de terapia ou grupos de apoio que auxiliariam no cuidado. Perfil geral dos cuidadores sob a ótica do paciente: gênero feminino, idade entre 30-69 anos, esposa do paciente, cuida do paciente a mais de cinco anos. Cuidar do paciente é uma tarefa que a deixa sobrecarregada e estressada/ansiosa. Concluiu-se que a construção da relação entre o paciente e cuidador não passa por um processo de educação e manejo adequado com a saúde, tampouco há capacitação para prover o cuidado e o próprio paciente não enxerga a necessidade disso, podendo acarretar problemas de saúde e emocionais ao cuidador, inclusive abandono do emprego ou da vida social.

Abstract:
Hemodialysis changes the life dynamics of patients and their families. The limitations and dependence of the sick individual determine the need for assistance and care. Twenty-four patients with chronic kidney disease in hemodialysis were interviewed at the Santa Lucinda Hospital Dialysis and Kidney Transplant Center in order to identify who is the patient and who is the caregiver from the patient's perspective and to understand the relationship established between them. General profile of the interviewed patients was drawn with the following characteristics: male gender, 50-69 years-old and on hemodialysis for more than one year. The caregiver believes that taking care means to provide hygiene, help feeding and medication control, and also offering love and affection, worrying and being together at all times. However, the patient sees no need for their caregiver to participate in therapy or support groups that would assist in care. General profile of caregivers from the patient's perspective: female gender, age range between 30-69, usually patient's wife and has been providing care for over five years. Caring for the patient is a task that makes the caregiver overwhelmed and stressed and anxious. It was concluded that the construction of the relationship between the patient and his caregiver does not go through a process of education and proper management with health, nor is there training to provide care and the patient himself does not see the need for it, which may lead to health and emotional problems to the caregiver, including abandonment of employment or social life.
