PERFIL DOS DOADORES DO PROGRAMA DE DOAÇÃO DE CORPOS DE UMA UNIVERSIDADE PÚBLICA DO INTERIOR DE MINAS GERAIS
O cadáver tem-se mostrado ainda
essencial no ensino de anatomia nos cursos
da área da saúde. A dificuldade na obtenção de
corpos para ensino e pesquisa levou a muitas
universidades a procurarem outros meios,
como por exemplo a doação voluntária do corpo
em vida, amparada por lei. Neste contexto, a
universidade em questão nesse estudo iniciou
as atividades de seu programa de doação de
corpos em 2018, contando até março de 2019
com 9 doadores cadastrados e um óbito. Este
artigo tem como objetivo investigar o perfil
dos doadores de corpos do programa de uma
universidade pública do interior de Minas Gerais.
A média de idade dos doadores foi de 62,3
anos, sendo 56% do sexo masculino e a sua
maioria com alta escolaridade (ensino superior
completo), bem como em sua maioria católicos.
Dentre as motivações a doar o corpo, as
principais foram ajudar o próximo a se tornar um
bom profissional e ser útil após a morte. A análise
do perfil dos doadores serviu de substrato para
novas pesquisas e direcionamento de recursos
e esforços na divulgação e abrangência do
programa, atingindo potenciais doadores.

Abstract:
The corpse has shown to be still essential in the teaching of anatomy
in the courses of the health area. The difficulty in obtaining bodies for teaching and
research has led many universities to seek other ways of obtaining them, such as
the voluntary donation of the body during life, supported by law. In this context, the
university in question in this study began the activities of its body donation program in
2018, counting until March 2019 with 9 registered donors and one death. This article
aims to investigate the profile of donors of bodies of the program of a public university
in the interior of Minas Gerais. The average age of the donors was 62.3 years, 56% of
them were male and the majority with high schooling (complete superior education),
as well as mostly Catholic. Among the motivations to donate the body, the main ones
were to help the students to become good health professionals and be useful after
death. The analysis of the profile of the donors served as a substrate for new research
and resource allocation and efforts in the dissemination and comprehensiveness of the
program, reaching potential donors.
