Abstract: This chapter examines the profile of undergraduate students who seek psychological support during their academic trajectory at Faculdade Uninta Fortaleza, based on cases handled by the Student Psychological Support Center (NAPSI) in 2023 and 2024. Using a qualitative approach, with documentary and bibliographic analysis, it seeks to understand the characteristics of the student population that pursues psychological care and its particularities. The findings indicate that services offered through drop-in counseling, brief psychotherapy, and group-based initiatives strengthen emotional resilience, support adaptation to the university environment, and reduce psychological distress. These interventions foster the development of socioemotional competencies and positively affect students’ retention and academic performance, helping to prevent dropout. The study underscores the importance of mental health as an essential component of educational policy and highlights the role of institutional psychological services in higher education.
