Abstract: The objective is to estimate the restricted anthropometric profile of university students studying Sports Training. The study is descriptive, quantitative, and cross-sectional in nature; the specific method used is double indirect, using the ISAK kinanthopometry technique. The sample consists of 44 individuals (x̄ 26 years old). The main results for women and men, respectively, are: BMI x̄ 25,02 (overweight) and x̄ 26,03 (overweight); waist-to-hip ratio x̄ 0,81 (abdominal obesity) and x̄ 0,86 (normal); waist-to-height ratio x̄ 0,51 (cardiovascular risk) and x̄ 0,50 (normal). Likewise, in terms of body composition, on average, muscle mass is 35 % and 40 %, fat mass 30 % and 25 %, bone mass 15 % both cases, and residual mass 20 % in both cases. The overall average somatotype is endo-mesomorph. The results differ from those of students who train competitively in a sport and are similar to those of students in fields related to physical activity. In conclusion, the assessment of the restricted anthropometric profile allows áreas for improvement to be identified and avoids limitations in interpretation.
