Abstract: his article addresses families' perceptions regarding the participation of their children with disabilities in the regular school environment, investigating the impact of educational inclusion. The research aims to analyze the experiences of families, highlighting challenges, concerns and benefits associated with the inclusion of children with disabilities in regular schools. In a qualitative and descriptive way, the study sought to understand the dynamics between the family and the educational institution, aiming to contribute to improving the inclusive process. The results showed that families perceive gaps in the inclusion process in regular education, point out flaws, denounce discrimination and prejudice, but also recognize that in addition to the knowledge acquired by their children in regular education, interaction and coexistence with other children have improved the development of your children. It is hoped that these results can reverberate into actions that contribute to improving the processes of inclusion of people with disabilities in regular education.
