• Abstract: The problem of Urban Solid Waste is one of the main concerns worldwide, since it causes contamination of the soil, air and water, likewise it is a controversial issue since an effective solution has not been found and we are all added to this problem. since we are waste generators. In the tourist area, the naming of a Magical Town makes these places popular to visit, which maximizes the problem of waste generation. That is why this work aims to make a qualitative diagnosis of Solid Waste Management in the Hotel sector of the City of Valladolid. In this first stage of the study, a methodology is presented that describes the problem of waste in the city of Valladolid, through the implementation of a first pilot questionnaire to assess the problem. Among the results obtained, it was possible to improve the instrument and measure that the Hotel sector is interested in improving the current management of waste, which would bring a significant reduction in the problem on the part of this sector.
