Percepção dos professores do ensino médio sobre a orientação sexual no ambiente escolar
A orientação sexual é uma
temática que está ganhando maior espaço
nas discussões da sociedade devido alguns
fatores, como os altos índices de gravidez na
adolescência. Os Parâmetros Curriculares
Nacionais que norteiam a educação básica no
Brasil sugerem que a Orientação Sexual seja
trabalhada nas escolas como tema transversal
já que a mesma não se refere apenas ao ato
sexual. No entanto, percebe-se que apesar da
necessidade da implantação desse tema na
escola e da sugestão dos PCN’s ainda existe
dificuldade em abordá-lo. Essa dificuldade
persiste não só entre alunos, mas também entre
professores, o que dificulta o estabelecimento do
diálogo entre ambos. Nesse sentido, o objetivo
do trabalho é identificar os fatores que dificultam
a abordagem do assunto pelos professores.
Esse estudo foi realizado em uma Escola de
Ensino Médio, localizada no Bairro Henrique
Jorge, caracterizando-se como uma pesquisa
do tipo quantitative-qualitativa explicativa. O
público alvo foram os professores que lecionam
no 1º ano da escola, tendo como instrumento
de coleta de dados o uso de questionários. A
partir da análise dos questionários percebeu-se
que os professores enxergam a necessidade da
implantação da Orientação Sexual na escola,
porém alguns sentem dificuldade de falar sobre
o assunto. Dessa forma, o tema sexualidade
na escola ainda é visto como tabu e para que
essa realidade seja modificada é preciso que
se fale abertamente sobre o assunto dentro e
fora dos muros da escola, promovendo assim a
formação integral dos alunos.

Abstract:
Sexual orientation is a theme that
is gaining greater space in the discussions of
society due to some factors, such as high rates
of teenage pregnancy. The national curricular
parameters that guide basic education in Brazil
suggest that sexual orientation is worked in
schools as a transversal theme since it does
not refer only to the sexual act. However, it is
perceived that despite the need to implement
this theme in school and the suggestion of
PCN’s there is still difficulty in addressing it.
This difficulty persists not only among students,
but also among teachers, which hinders the
establishment of dialogue between them. In this
sense, the objective of this work is to identify the factors that hinder the approach of the subject by teachers. This study was conducted
at a high school, located in the Henrique Jorge neighborhood, characterized as a
quantitative-qualitative explanatory research. The target audience was the teachers
who teach in the 1st year of the school, having as instrument of data collection the
use of questionnaires. From the analysis of the questionnaires it was perceived that
the teachers see the need for the implementation of Sexual orientation in the school,
but some feel difficult to talk about the subject. Thus, the theme sexuality in school is
still seen as taboo and for this reality to be modified, it is necessary to speak openly
about the subject within and outside the walls of the school, thus promoting the integral
formation of students
