PERCEPÇÃO DOS ACADÊMICOS DE MEDICINA DA UNIVERSIDADE ESTÁCIO DE SÁ DO CAMPUS JOÃO UCHÔA – RJ SOBRE A IMPORTÂNCIA DA SUA INSERÇÃO NA PRÁTICA DA ESTRATÉGIA DE SAÚDE DA FAMÍLIA
Objetivos: identificar a percepção
do discente sobre sua inserção na prática da
ESF, compreender os desafios e conquistas na
adesão à medicina de Família e Comunidade
enquanto disciplina e proporcionar um novo
olhar do estudante para a estratégia, para que
a Medicina de Família (MFC) e Comunidade
possa ser uma opção de especialidade futura.
Métodos: trata-se de um estudo quantiqualitativo
que teve como proposta realizar
um levantamento, através de entrevista
semiestruturada, da percepção do estudante
de medicina da Universidade Estácio de Sá,
Campus João Uchôa – RJ acerca da sua
inserção prática na Estratégia de Saúde da
Família (ESF). Resultados e Discussão: vinte e
dois discentes do curso de medicina do Campos
João Uchôa responderam ao questionário e a
maioria (22,7%) pertencia ao 10° período. No
que tange à contribuição da ESF na formação,
a maioria dos estudantes afirma que a disciplina
auxilia na compreensão da estrutura do SUS
e na experiência profissional cotidiana. Já
na percepção da inserção na ESF durante a
formação, a maioria afirma que poderia participar
mais do cotidiano das unidades. Quando sobre
a Medicina de Família e Comunidade ser vista
como futura especialidade, 31,8% diz que sim e
68,2 aponta que não escolheria esta área para
seguir carreira na medicina. Conclusão: a forma
como o acadêmico percebe a disciplina, não
garante a adesão à especialidade e a inserção
do mesmo nas unidades deve ser realizada de
forma precoce para que o estudante se sinta
um membro das equipes, participante efetivo
das atividades e reconhecedor da importância
da Estratégia de Saúde da Família tanto na sua
formação, como na saúde da população.

Abstract:
Objectives: to identify students'
perception about their insertion in the FHS
practice, to understand the challenges and
achievements in adherence to Family and
Community Medicine as a discipline and to
provide a new perspective of the student to the
strategy so that Family Medicine (CFM) and
Community may be a future specialty option.
Methods: this is a quantitative-qualitative study
whose purpose was to carry out a survey, through a semi-structured interview, of the
perception of the medical student of the Universidade Estácio de Sá, Campus João
Uchôa - RJ, about their practical insertion in the Health Strategy of the Family (ESF).
Results and Discussion: twenty-two students from the medical course at Campos
João Uchôa answered the questionnaire and the majority (22.7%) belonged to the 10th
period. Regarding the contribution of the ESF in the training, most of the students affirm
that the discipline helps in understanding the structure of the SUS and in the daily
professional experience. Already in the perception of the insertion in the FHT during
the training, the majority affirms that it could participate more in the daily life of the
units. When about Family and Community Medicine being seen as a future specialty,
31.8% said yes and 68.2 indicated that they would not choose this area to pursue a
career in medicine. Conclusion: the way the academic perceives the discipline, does
not guarantee the adherence to the specialty and the insertion of the same in the units
must be done in a way that feels integral to the teams, an effective participant in the
activities and recognizing the importance of the Family Health Strategy both in their
training and in the health of the population.
