PERCEPÇÃO DE ESTUDANTES DE ODONTOLOGIA DO DISTRITO FEDERAL SOBRE UTILIZAÇÃO DE IMAGENS DE PACIENTES EM REDES SOCIAIS: ANÁLISE BIOÉTICA.
Introdução: O uso de imagens em mídias sociais tem se tornado uma prática constante na área da saúde, aspecto que suscita reflexão ética na prática clínica. O presente estudo teve como objetivo conhecer a percepção de estudantes de Odontologia sobre a exposição de imagens de pacientes em redes sociais à luz dos princípios da Bioética. Metodologia: Estudo descritivo-analítico de caráter exploratório, de natureza qualitativa. A população analisada foi composta de estudantes, de ambos os sexos, cursando o último semestre do curso de odontologia em cinco instituições de ensino superior privadas e uma pública no Distrito Federal. Foram aplicados questionários presencialmente no primeiro semestre de 2019 com perguntas objetivas com o intuito de verificar o entendimento acerca da utilização de imagens de pacientes em redes sociais pelos estudantes. Resultados: Questionados sobre quem é o protagonista da relação profissional-paciente observou-se que a maioria dos estudantes (52%) responderam ser o paciente o protagonista, entretanto 39% afirmaram ser o profissional. Perguntados se o próprio aluno já havia fotografado pacientes, 90% responderam afirmativamente e sobre se solicitaram a autorização do paciente para fotografar, 87% responderam sim, todavia a maioria dos estudantes solicitou autorização verbal sendo que o ideal é que se tenha o consentimento do paciente de forma escrita. Discussão: As imagens obtidas durante o tratamento é um auxílio na condução do mesmo, porém os resultados permitem inferir que os estudantes ainda carecem de conhecimento e aperfeiçoamento no que diz respeito às condutas éticas referentes ao assunto. Conclusão: A bioética é capaz de propiciar o exercício do reconhecimento dos conflitos morais, a análise crítica das implicações da incorporação das novas tecnologias, a responsabilidade social e a obrigação moral na tomada de decisões relacionadas à vida humana.

Abstract:
Introduction: The use of images in social media has become a constant practice in health care, an aspect that raises ethical reflection in clinical practice. This study aimed to find out the perceptions of dental students about the exposure of patient images on social networks in the light of bioethics principles. Methodology: Exploratory descriptive-analytical study of a qualitative nature. The population analyzed was composed of students of both genders, attending the last semester of the dentistry course in five private and one public higher education institutions in the Federal District. Questionnaires were applied in person in the first semester of 2019 with objective questions in order to verify the understanding of the use of patient images in social networks by students. Results: When questioned about who is the protagonist of the professional-patient relationship, it was observed that most students (52%) answered that the patient is the protagonist, but 39% said it is the professional. When asked if the students themselves had photographed patients, 90% answered affirmatively, and about whether they had requested the patient's authorization to photograph, 87% answered yes; however, most students requested verbal authorization, although the ideal is to have the patient's consent in writing. Discussion: The images obtained during treatment are an aid in conducting the treatment, but the results allow us to infer that students still lack knowledge and improvement regarding the ethical conduct related to the subject. Conclusion: Bioethics can provide the exercise of moral conflict recognition, critical analysis of the implications of the incorporation of new technologies, social responsibility, and moral obligation in human life decision making.
