PERCEPÇÃO DE ALUNOS DO 6º ANO DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL DE ESCOLAS PÚBLICAS DE SANTARÉM-PA SOBRE A IMPORTÂNCIA DOS INSETOS AQUÁTICOS NOS ESTUDOS DE QUALIDADE AMBIENTAL
Os insetos aquáticos podem indicar a qualidade ambiental dos sistemas que vivem. A sua presença ou ausência podem ser interpretadas como sinais de alterações no meio ambiente, ou pode ajudar a diagnosticar as causas de um problema ambiental. Dessa forma, discutimos o valor dos insetos aquáticos associados à educação ambiental do homem, que por sua vez tem se apresentado como o principal agente impactante do meio ambiente. Tivemos como público alvo os alunos de sexto ano do ensino fundamental de escolas públicas da cidade de Santarém-PA, sendo realizado atividades pedagógicas e informativas para o desenvolvimento do presente trabalho. Foi observado mudanças na percepção dos alunos quanto a definição de meio ambiente e importância dos insetos aquáticos como agentes indicadores de qualidade ambiental, destacando principalmente a importância desses organismos como fonte de alimento para outros seres vivos e diminuindo a ideia de que são apenas transmissores de doenças. Além disso, ressaltar a importância da preservação ambiental através da educação como forma de diminuir impactos no ecossistema, mesmo que na maioria do público alvo não tenham tido qualquer experiência de trabalhos com a temática sobre insetos aquáticos, mas que se faz necessário estudos e trabalhos mais educativos dentro no ambiente escolar, pois os alunos das séries inicias são aqueles que vão propagar o conhecimento no futuro.

Abstract:
Aquatic insects can indicate the quality of ecosystems. Its presence or absence can be interpreted as signs of changes in the environment, or it can help to diagnose the causes of an environmental problem. Anthropogenic impacts are reducing both water quality and the biodiversity of organisms in general. Thus, we discuss the value of aquatic insects associated with man's environmental education, which in turn has been presented as the main impacting agent of the environment. We had as target audience the sixth-year students of elementary school in public schools in the city of Santarém-PA, with pedagogical and informative activities being carried out for the development of this work. Changes were observed in the students' perception regarding the definition of the environment and the importance of aquatic insects as indicators of environmental quality, mainly highlighting the importance of these organisms as a source of food for other living beings and diminishing the idea that they are only transmitters of diseases. In addition, to emphasize the importance of environmental preservation through education as a way to reduce impacts on the ecosystem, even though in the majority of the target audience they have not had any experience of working with the theme on aquatic insects, but more studies and studies are needed. within the school environment, as students in the early grades are those who will spread knowledge in the future.
