PERCEPÇÃO DE AGRICULTORES FAMILIARES SOBRE A RESERVA LEGAL E ÁREAS DE PRESERVAÇÃO PERMANENTE: UM ESTUDO EXPLORATÓRIO EM DIVINÓPOLIS – MG
Esta pesquisa buscou verificar a percepção e conhecimento de agricultores familiares do município de Divinópolis/MG quanto ao conceito e importância das Áreas de Preservação Permanentes (APP’s) e das Reservas Legais (RL’s), através de entrevista semiestruturada. De um modo geral verificou-se que os produtores entrevistados apresentaram um conhecimento parcial e fragmentado sobre as APP’s e a RL. Aliado a isso, a maioria dos entrevistados relataram não possuir registro da RL em cartório ou sua inscrição no Cadastro Ambiental Rural - CAR. Os resultados evidenciam a necessidade de instrução e capacitação dos proprietários rurais quanto à legislação ambiental, assim como a criação de mecanismos de incentivo e suporte para a regularização ambiental das propriedades.

Abstract:
This research sought to verify the perception and knowledge of family farmers in the municipality of Divinópolis / MG regarding the concept and importance of Permanent Preservation Areas and Legal Reserves, through semi-structured interview. In general, it was found that the interviewed producers had partial and fragmented knowledge about APP's and RL. In addition to this, most of the interviewees reported that they did not have a RL registration at a registry office or their registration with the Rural Environmental Registry - CAR. The results show the need for education and training of rural landowners regarding environmental legislation, as well as the creation of incentive and support mechanisms for the environmental regularization of properties.
