Abstract: In this work we present the analysis of the responses given by engineering students to a questionnaire about attitudes towards their mathematics teacher. Using a questionnaire with a 5-option Likert scale, random students were asked to answer it; in the end, responses were obtained from 104 students of both sexes. When analyzing the responses grouped by sex, different perceptions of female students compared to those of male students were found regarding the mathematics teacher and his way of teaching, interacting and motivating students.
