PERCALÇOS E DESAFIOS DA EDUCAÇÃO CONTEMPORÂNEA BRASILEIRA
O artigo foi elaborado a partir dos trabalhos realizados para avaliação parcial de duas disciplinas do programa de Pós-graduação em Educação. Aborda alguns percalços da educação brasileira atual: relativização dos princípios e dos direitos constitucionais; diminuição da intervenção do Estado para garantir o direito de todos os cidadãos à educação pública e de qualidade; ajuste fiscal que congela os valores das despesas primárias com a aprovação da Proposta de Emenda Constitucional 241, enquanto ignora os impostos que, por exemplo, poderiam ser arrecadados das grandes fortunas; visão reducionista do papel do docente, que o limita a mero transmissor de conhecimentos e colabora ao enfraquecimento da figura do professor, ignorando seu papel de intelectual transformador. Essa visão tecnicista leva a não compreender a instituição escolar como espaço privilegiado para a formação de cidadãos críticos e reflexivos, conforme preveem as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educação Básica. O artigo também aborda, como grande desafio da educação atual, a superação da visão dualista do ser humano que ainda predomina na cultura ocidental. É urgente a humanização do espaço escolar, do processo de ensino e aprendizagem, a valorização do aspecto afetivo como constitutivo e essencial do ser humano, superando a concepção que limita os traços característicos do homem e da mulher ao meramente racional.

Abstract:
This paper was elaborated from the works realized for partial evaluation of two disciplines of the program of Post-graduation in Education. Discusses some obstacles of the current Brazilian education: relativization of constitutional law principles and rights; reduction of State intervention to guarantee the law of all citizens to public education and with the right quality; fiscal adjustment that freezes the values of primary expenditures with the approval of Proposed Constitutional Amendment 241, while ignoring the taxes which, for example, could be collected from large fortunes; a reductionist view of the role of the teacher, which limits him to the mere transmitter of knowledge and contributes to the weakening of the figure of the teacher, ignoring his role of transforming intellectual. This technical view contributes to not understand the school institution as a privileged space for the formation of critical and reflective citizens, according to the National Curricular Guidelines for Basic Education. The paper also comments, as a major challenge of current education, overcoming the dualistic view of the human being that still predominates in Western culture. It’s urgent to humanize the school environment, and also the teaching and learning process, as well as the appreciation of the affective aspect as constitutive and essential of the human being, surpassing the conception that limits the characteristic traits of man and woman to the merely rational.
