Abstract: The analysis of whether the undergraduate degree in Engineering in Brazil offers society, through its teaching and learning dynamics, the training of professionals with competencies for innovation to solve problems of society and organizations was made through the opposition of the National Curricular Guidelines (NCG) of the Course with the approach of the Pedagogy of Innovation, presenting a systematization of the paradoxes in the strategic proposition of public policy, due to the interdisciplinary critique of Engineering, Administration and Pedagogy. As a corollary it is proposed that the implementation of the Pedagogy of Innovation in Engineering Graduation can be understood between the training of professionals with technical and technological knowledge X training of multidisciplinary professionals, with technical and technological knowledge and with interpersonal and innovation skills to conduct the projects; teacher training and choice; evidence-based education vs. based on the status quo of content-driven processes.
