PATRONES DE LOCALIZACIÓN E INSTALACIÓN DE INFRAESTRUCTURA RELIGIOSA CATÓLICA EN SANTIAGO DE CHILE. 1850 – 1950
Se analiza la localización de las edificaciones destinadas al culto religioso católico en el desarrollo y crecimiento de la ciudad del Santiago de Chile entre los años 1850 y 1950. La revisión considera la perspectiva histórica en la evolución de la ciudad y la relación de los fieles con el territorio urbano, identificando los patrones de localización y su efecto sobre el desarrollo de la ciudad, lectura que marcó la acción de la Iglesia Católica como un agente urbano que se insertó en las formas de vida de los habitantes, dibujando la ciudad (Cisoc, 1999). Relación iglesia y ciudad que ha variado en el tiempo, definiendo nuevos patrones y relaciones en el espacio urbano, conservando el modo de producción e instalación, orientado a los objetivos de evangelizar de la iglesia y sus congregaciones, ajustado por la postura de los fieles sensibilizados por los cambios sociales y culturales propios del progreso y la evolución.

Abstract:
The location of buildings destined for Catholic religious worship in the development and growth of the city of Santiago de Chile between the years 1850 and 1950 is analyzed. The review considers the historical perspective on the evolution of the city and the relationship of the faithful with the urban territory, identifying the location patterns and their effect on the development of the city, reading that marked the action of the Catholic Church as an urban agent that was inserted into the lifestyles of the inhabitants, drawing the city (Cisoc, 1999). Church and city relationship that has changed over time, defining new patterns and relationships in the urban space, preserving the mode of production and installation, oriented to the objectives of evangelizing the church and its congregations, adjusted by the position of the sensitized faithful for the social and cultural changes typical of progress and evolution
