PATERNIDADE ADOLESCENTE: REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA
Esse trabalho teve como objetivo
identificar e analisar a produção científica
nacional e internacional sobre paternidade
adolescente e suas relações com a mãe do
bebê e com seus familiares. A pesquisa foi
realizada nas seguintes bases de dados online:
Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO);
Lilacs, por meio do Portal Regional da Biblioteca
Virtual de Saúde (BVS); Portal de Periódicos
da CAPES; Science Direct; Scopus e Psyc
Net. Os descritores utilizados na busca foram:
“Paternidade adolescente AND maternidade”;
“Paternidade adolescente AND parentalidade”;
“Adolescent fatherhood AND motherhood”
e; “Adolescent fatherhood AND parenting”.
Critérios de inclusão: artigos acadêmicos na
língua inglesa e portuguesa; artigos disponíveis
para download e que aborde a paternidade
adolescente e/ou descreva a relação desta
com a maternidade, com o bebê e/ou suas
relações familiares. Foram selecionados 14
artigos. Cinco categorias temáticas abarcaram
os principais temas trazidos nos estudos:
tornando-se pai, dificuldades e perdas,
importância do apoio familiar, papel paterno e
materno e importância do suporte profissional.
Tornar-se pai foi observado como uma
experiência positiva, ambígua e complexa para
os adolescentes. Importância do apoio familiar
e de profissionais qualificados nessa nova
etapa da vida desses adolescentes. Os papeis
atribuídos a maternidade e a paternidade ainda
estão enraizados e são reproduzidos pelos(as)
jovens pais e mães.

Abstract:
This study aimed to identify and analyze the national and international
scientific production on adolescent parenting and its relations with the baby’s mother
and her family. The research was conducted in the online databases: Scientific
Electronic Library Online (SciELO); Lilacs, through the Regional Portal of the Virtual
Health Library (BVS); Portal of Periodicals of CAPES; Science Direct; Scopus and
PsycNet. The descriptors used in the research were: “Paternidade adolescente AND
maternidade”; “Paternidade adolescente AND parentalidade; “Adolescent fatherhood
AND motherhood”; and “Adolescent fatherhood AND parenting”. Inclusion criteria:
academic articles in english and portuguese; articles available to download and that
approach the adolescent fatherhood and / or describe the relationship of this with the
motherhood, with the baby and / or their family relationships. 14 articles were selected.
Five thematic categories covered the main themes that were brought up in the studies:
becoming a father; difficulties and losses; the importance of family support; paternal
and maternal role and; the importance of professional support. Becoming a father
was observed as a positive, ambiguous and complex experience for adolescents. The
importance of the family support and the presence of qualified professionals in this new
stage of life of these adolescents. The roles attributed to motherhood and fatherhood
are still ingrained and are reproduced by these young fathers and mothers.
