PARIR NA PRISÃO: VIOLÊNCIA OBSTÉTRICA INSTITUCIONAL E INTERSECCIONAL
A violência obstétrica é imbricada por relações de poder e caracteriza-se pela apropriação do corpo e dos processos reprodutivos da mulher parturiente e puérpera, mediante um tratamento desumanizado, abuso de medicalização e patologização dos processos naturais do parto, acometendo pelo menos 25% das mulheres que tiveram partos normais nos hospitais públicos e privados (VENTURI; GODINHO, 2010). Objetiva-se no presente artigo, compreender teoricamente a violência obstétrica pelas quais passam as mulheres em situação prisional como uma violência de gênero institucional e interseccional. Para se traçar um panorama dessa modalidade de violência contra a mulher, mobilizou-se a teoria interseccional como uma ferramenta teórico-metodológica atrelada à uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Utilizou-se como fontes de dados o Levantamento Nacional de Informações Penitenciárias (INFOPEN, 2019 e INFOPEN – Mulheres, 2017) e o estudo realizado pela Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ) intitulado “Nascer na prisão: gestação e parto atrás das grades no Brasil” (2016).

Abstract:
Obstetric violence is imbricated by power relations and is characterized by the appropriation of the body and reproductive processes of parturient and postpartum women, through dehumanized treatment, abuse of medicalization and pathologization of the natural processes of childbirth, affecting at least 25% of women who had normal births in public and private hospitals (VENTURI; GODINHO, 2010) being imbricated by power relations. The objective of this paper is to theoretically understand obstetric violence that women in prison situations suffer as institutional and intersectional gender violence. To understand the panorama of this type of violence against women, the intersectional theory was mobilized as a theoretical-methodological tool linked to a bibliographic and documentary research. The National Survey of Penitentiary Information (INFOPEN, 2019 and INFOPEN – Mulheres, 2017) and the study carried out by the Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ) entitled “Nascer na prisão: gestação e parto atrás das grades no Brasil” (2016) were used as data sources.
