PARÂMETROS GENÉTICOS POPULACIONAIS APLICADOS NA CARACTERIZAÇÃO E CONSERVAÇÃO DE RAÇAS NATIVAS
A caracterização genética populacional de uma raça é relevante para programas de conservação, pois permite conhecer a diferenciação genética entre indivíduos da mesma raça e entre indivíduos de demais raças da mesma espécie. Ainda são poucos os estudos populacionais com raças de galinhas nativas. Dado o exposto, objetivou-se realizar uma revisão bibliográfica quanto aos conceitos e os parâmetros comumente utilizados em investigações de genética populacional aplicados à conservação e à caracterização de raças nativas, com o intuito de direcionar futuros estudos nessa temática com galinhas caipiras.

Abstract:
The population genetic characterization of a breed is relevant for conservation programs, as it allows to know the genetic differentiation between individuals of the same characterized breed and between individuals of the other breeds of the same species. There are still few population studies with native chicken breeds. Given the above, the objective was to carry out a bibliographic review as to the concepts and parameters commonly used in investigations of population genetics applied to the conservation and characterization of native breeds, in order to direct future studies on this topic.
