Abstract: Paracoccidioidomycosis is a systemic mycosis caused by the fungi Paracoccidioides brasiliensis and Paracoccidioides lutzii. It is the eighth leading cause of death from infectious diseases, most common in men, with clinical manifestations predominantly between 30 and 50 years of age. It is a rare disease in women of childbearing age due to hormonal factors that act as protection against the disease. Due to the lower prevalence in this group, this case report aims to demonstrate two cases of paracoccidioidomycosis in women of childbearing age who had complications, one due to tuberculosis coinfection, and another that caused potentially serious adverse events due to the use of medications.
