Abstract: Introduction: Lung adenocarcinoma is currently among the most common existing cancers and, in most cases, leads the patient to palliative care. Objective: To describe the therapies used by the nursing team in cancer patients undergoing palliative care. Materials and Methods: This is an exploratory, descriptive research of the integrative literature review type. The following databases will be used: Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Scientific Electronic Library Online, Online Search and Analysis System of Medical Literature and Nursing Database, considering publications between 2016 and 2022 in Portuguese and English, using the descriptors: Palliative care; Nursing care; Cancer. Results and discussion: The therapeutic approaches used in this discussion demonstrate that palliative care aims to treat the signs and symptoms of the disease that affects the patient, such as stress, loss of appetite, sleep quality, discomfort, among others. When nursing is part of this care, it brings safety and protection to the patient, and inserting the family in the care process, in addition to being important within this process, directing the actions that are offered in the care of this patient is a way of respecting bioethical principles. Final considerations: The therapies presented in this research, such as yoga, therapeutic massage, acupuncture, reike, boswellic acid and mud therapy, can help nurses to offer patient-centered care, and they should seek knowledge and preparation to deal with autonomously with the palliative patient and family.
