PACIENTE COM DIABETES MELLITUS SECUNDÁRIA À PANCREATITE DE REPETIÇÃO NO CARIRI: UM RELATO DE CASO
A pancreatite crônica é uma doença que causa problemas nas células do pâncreas gerando problemas no controle da glicemia e o fator de risco mais importante é a pancreatite de repetição. O relato de caso aborda um paciente jovem do sexo masculino que possui um histórico de pancreatite de repetição de etiologia alcóolica que evoluiu com insuficiência pancreática e faz uso de insulina regular, NPH e dissulfiram. O paciente chegou no ambulatório queixando-se de edema de MMII e polifagia, após ele ter procurado a emergência de um hospital com um quadro de astenia, diarreia e vômitos e, nessa ocasião, foi aferida a glicemia: HI (valor acima da mensuração do aparelho).

Abstract:
Chronic pancreatitis is a disease that causes damage at the cells of the pancreas, causing problems on glucose control and the most important risk factor is repeat pancreatitis. The case report addresses a young male patient who had a history of repeat pancreatitis of alcoholic etiology that evolved with pancreatic insufficiency and uses regular insulin, PHN and disulfiram. The patient arrived at the ambulatory complaining of MMII edema and polyphagia, after he had sought the emergency of a hospital with a condition of asthenia, diarrhea and vomiting and, on this occasion, blood glucose was measured: HI (value above the measurement of the device).
