Abstract: Alzheimer's disease (AD) affects patients aged 60 and over, and early, aged 40 and over. Its diagnosis, in addition to damaged memory, is a decline in cognitive function, such as: language and selective and divided attention, being evaluated in front of the patient himself. "Dementia" means a syndrome of different etiologies with a fundamental predominance of memory impairment, accompanied by other symptoms of cognitive function, language, praxis, gnosis or executive functions, with slow and progressive evolution. The objective of this work was to analyze the practices of nursing professionals in PHC towards patients with Alzheimer's dementia. This study was carried out through an integrative literature review, using a qualitative approach. The National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and SciELO were used as a database, using the descriptors “dementia”, “elderly” and “primarycare” using the Boolean operator “AND”. As criteria for inclusion of articles, studies published in the last 10 years (2013-2023) were analyzed; case reports; randomized clinical trials; controlled clinical trial. As exclusion criteria for articles, there were studies that: did not talk about primary care or family health strategies; did not focus on patients over 60 years of age; they didn't talk about treating dementia; articles whose objective was not clear in the abstract and/or with the complete content without access and duplicate articles. The search resulted in a total of 6,613 works. 6,570 articles were found in the PubMed database, 43 articles in the SciELO database. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 22 articles were selected from the PubMed database and 3 articles from SciELO, according to Figure 1. Through the studies analyzed, it was observed that the practice of nursing professionals in relation to patients with Alzheimer's in PHC, even though there are some authors who disagree with this statement.
