OS TEMAS TRANSVERSAIS NA ESCOLA DE EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA
A oferta de uma educação de
qualidade deve estar associada à inserção dos
Temas Transversais nas escolas com o intuito
de tornar mais amplo os conhecimentos de
maneira que não fiquem limitados unicamente
aos conteúdos curriculares tradicionais, e
sim os vinculem a outras questões, como
por exemplo, a algum dos sete Temas
Transversais: Ética, Pluralidade Cultural, Meio
Ambiente, Saúde, Orientação Sexual, Trabalho
e Consumo e Temas Locais, enfatizando a
interdisciplinaridade. Nesse sentido, o referido
trabalho objetivou traçar um panorama de como
ocorre o trabalho com tais temas na escola de
Educação Básica. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida
mediante aplicação de questionário a uma
amostra de vinte professores pertencentes ao
Núcleo Regional de Educação de Paranavaí.
Os resultados da pesquisa evidenciaram que
os Temas Transversais são uma importante
ferramenta para oportunizar ao aluno um
processo de ensino e aprendizagem com
qualidade. Uma das principais constatações
da referida pesquisa foi de que os professores
acreditam que os Temas Transversais podem
ser utilizados como um instrumento para dar
significado prático aos conteúdos teóricos
abordados em sala de aula. Assim, diante do
exposto, é imprescindível cada vez mais uma
maior valorização da inserção de tais temas
no ambiente escolar, pois muitas escolas não
dão a devida importância para os mesmos e
cobram do professor apenas o cumprimento
dos conteúdos curriculares.

Abstract:
The provision of quality education
should be associated with the insertion of
Transversal themes in schools in order to make
broader knowledge so that they are not limited
only to traditional curricula, but the link to other issues, such as to some of the seven
Transversal themes: Ethics, Cultural Plurality, Environment, Health, Sexual Orientation,
Labor and Consumer Affairs and Local Issues, emphasizing interdisciplinarity. In this
sense, said study aimed to give an overview of how is working with these issues in the
school of Basic Education. The research was conducted by questionnaire to a sample
of twenty teachers from the Regional Center of Paranavaí Education. The survey results
showed that the Transversal Themes are an important tool to create opportunities to
the student a process of teaching and learning quality. One of the main findings of the
research was that the teachers believe that the Transversal Themes can be used as a
tool to give practical meaning to the theoretical content covered in class. Thus, in view
of the above, increasingly greater appreciation of the inclusion of such issues in the
school environment it is essential because many schools do not give due importance to
the same charge and the teacher only compliance with the curriculum content.
