OS FATORES ENVOLVIDOS NA NÃO ADESÃO DO DIABÉTICO À TERAPIA FARMACOLÓGICA COM HIPOGLICEMIANTES ORAIS
Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 é uma
síndrome metabólica de caráter crônico
evidenciada pelos altos níveis de glicose na
corrente sanguínea e desencadeada pelo déficit
na produção de insulina, ou a incapacidade
da mesma em desenvolver avidamente
as suas funções. O objetivo do estudo foi
analisar, na população assistida, quais seriam
os fatores ligados aos altos índices de não
adesão às terapias medicamentosas com
hipoglicemiantes orais. Trata-se de um estudodescritivo, transversal e observacional, de natureza quantitativa. Realizado no Centro
de Referência em Diabetes e Hipertensão, localizado na região d Cariri-Ce. Diante dos
dados analisados, evidenciaram-se inúmeros fatores ligados a não adesão às terapias
medicamentosas propostas, dentre eles: baixo nível de escolaridade; baixo nível de
conhecimento sobre a própria doença; falha no processo de educação em saúde;
desenvolvimento de doenças secundárias associadas ao DM 2; e o uso de múltiplos
medicamentos a fim de tratar as doenças associadas às patologias em questão.
Dando enfoque assim, a uma melhor análise das terapias combinadas, reforçando a
relevância da prática de educação em saúde, o incentivo a um estilo de vida saudável
e a prática de atividade física regular e orientada.

Abstract:
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic syndrome evidenced by
the high levels of glucose in the bloodstream and triggered by the deficiency in insulin
production, or the inability to eagerly perform its functions. The aim of the study was to
analyze, in the assisted population, what would be the factors linked to the high rates of
non-adherence to oral hypoglycemic drug therapies. This is a descriptive cross-sectional
observational study of a quantitative nature. Held at the Diabetes and Hypertension
Reference Center, located in the Cariri-Ce region. Given the data analyzed, there were
many factors related to non-adherence to the proposed drug therapies, including: low
level of education; low level of knowledge about the disease itself; failure in the health
education process; development of secondary diseases associated with DM 2; and
the use of multiple medications to treat the diseases associated with the conditions
in question. Focusing thus on a better analysis of combined therapies, reinforcing the
relevance of the practice of health education, the encouragement of a healthy lifestyle
and the practice of regular and oriented physical activity.
