Abstract: Anorexia has always been a concern at the level of public health, whether due to the high incidence it can affect individuals or the serious health risks involved. However, with aging, nutritional status changes according to needs, and consequently, metabolism slows down, either due to a lack of physical activity or an imbalanced diet, leading to weight gain. Thus, the study aims to investigate nutritional challenges related to anorexia in aging through a search strategy known as PICO (Population affected), Intervention (anorexia), Comparison (not applicable), and Outcome (nutrition), on platforms such as Medline via PubMed, Google Scholar, Scielo, using MESH terms and free terms, and Boolean operators AND and OR. This is done through a systematic literature review, analysis of clinical data, and possible case studies, aiming to provide an updated overview of the effects of the pandemic on eating disorders. The results yielded 40 occurrences, of which only three studies met the established criteria.
