• Abstract: ABSTRACT. OBJECTIVE: To find out about the low adherence of preterm infants to the vaccination schedule due to parental resistance resulting from a lack of awareness of the benefits and the association with adverse events associated with vaccines. METHODOLOGY: This is an Integrative Literature Review (ILR) conducted through a detailed search of scientific literature on the low adherence of preterm infants to the vaccination schedule due to parental resistance resulting from a lack of awareness of the benefits and the occurrence of adverse events during the vaccination process. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: In the publications listed, the challenges are for the follow-up of child health and prematurity in Primary Care, as well as the strategies that are used to assist in information about prematurity that appears as the center of the care process, understanding the importance of the subject in their individuality and collectivity on their own practice. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: Based on the analysis of the studies found, it is clear that care for premature infants and their families in Primary Health Care lacks educational material on promotion and prevention related to the particularities of premature infants to guide mothers or family members on the importance of immunization and home care for their children.
