OS DESAFIOS DOCENTES NO ENSINO DE CIÊNCIAS: DESENVOLVIMENTO DE UM MATERIAL PARADIDÁTICO CONTEXTUALIZADO PARA O ENSINO DE BOTÂNICA NA ILHA DE GURIRI- ES, BIOMA MATA ATLÂNTICA
O presente trabalho visou discutir os livros didáticos de Ciências adotados pelas escolas estaduais do Município de São Mateus - Espírito Santo em 2016, enfatizando o estudo sobre o conteúdo de Botânica com enfoque no Bioma Mata Atlântica, conteúdo presente na grade curricular do 7º ano do ensino fundamental. Observou-se que os conteúdos pouco contemplam o Bioma Mata Atlântica, tão pouco o território do estado do Espírito Santo, contudo, as imagens são de boa qualidade e no geral contribuem para uma melhor compreensão do texto. O processo de ensino/aprendizagem será mais eficaz à medida que os conteúdos de Botânica estiverem associados com o espaço, o Bioma, e as experiências vivenciadas pelo aluno. Baseado nisso, foi proposto um material paradidático contextualizado para o Bioma Mata Atlântica a fim de promover a valorização da flora regional e uma aprendizagem significativa. A elaboração da cartilha nesse contexto visou à complementação do livro didático de Ciências e Geografia no ensino de Bioma Mata Atlântica, a fim de proporcionar ao aluno uma aprendizagem contextualizada, valorizando o conhecimento prévio, a fauna e a flora regional. Através da cartilha, espera-se que o aluno compreenda o conceito de bioma Mata Atlântica e o ecossistema restinga, através de exemplos com elementos regionais do cotidiano. Ao conhecer a importância do bioma e do ecossistema restinga, espera-se que os alunos se sensibilizem a conservá-los.

TEACHING CHALLENGES IN SCIENCE EDUCATION: DEVELOPMENT OF A CONTEXTUALIZED PARADIDATIC MATERIAL FOR BOTANY CLASSES IN THE ISLAND OF GURIRI, Espirito Santo state, BIOMA MATA ATLÂNTICA. The present work aimed to discuss the Science textbooks adopted by the state schools of the Municipality of São Mateus - Espírito Santo in 2016, emphasizing the study on the content of Botany with a focus on the Atlantic Forest Biome, content present in the curriculum of the 7th year of teaching fundamental. It was observed that the contents do not include the Atlantic Forest Biome, nor the territory of the state of Espírito Santo, however, the images are of good quality and in general contribute to a better understanding of the text. Learning and Teaching will be more effective as the contents of Botany are associated with the space, the Biome, and the experiences lived by the student. Based on this, it was proposed a contextualized material for the Atlantic Forest Biome in order to promote the valorization of the regional flora and a meaningful learning. The preparation of the booklet in this context aimed at complementing the Science and Geography textbook in the teaching of the Atlantic Forest Biome, in order to provide the student with contextualized learning, valuing prior knowledge, regional fauna and flora. Through the booklet, the student is expected to understand the concept of the Atlantic Forest biome and the restinga ecosystem, through examples with regional elements of everyday life. By knowing the importance of the biome and the restinga ecosystem, students are expected to be sensitized to preserve them.
