OS CONCEITOS MATEMÁTICOS NO COTIDIANO DA FEIRA LIVRE: UMA INVESTIGAÇÃO FEITA PELOS ALUNOS DA EJA
Este trabalho foi oriundo de uma pesquisa em que 14 alunos de duas turmas do III nível do 2.º segmento do Ensino Fundamental da Educação de Jovens e Adultos, da Escola Municipal Amadeu Araújo, desenvolveram na feira livre na cidade de Natal, para compreender a forma com que a Matemática no cotidiano, se apresenta diante das dificuldades que os educandos têm em compreender os Números Racionais, na representação decimal, suas operações e a relação desses com situações do cotidiano. A problemática do estudo deu-se em como promover uma aprendizagem com significados dos números e suas operações junto aos alunos de EJA, quando relaciona a matemática que eles estudam e a matemática da feira livre? O objetivo principal consiste em analisar a feira livre como um ambiente de aprendizado que estabelece relações com os conteúdos de matemática apresentados em sala de aula. O percurso metodológico desse trabalho iniciou-se com um levantamento bibliográfico e em seguida a pesquisa ancorou-se nas ideias de Fiorentini e Lorenzato (2009); bem como nos estudos de Bicudo (2005) e Freire (1996). Logo após, definiu-se, guiados pelo objeto de estudo, os sujeitos e o lócus da pesquisa assim como o instrumento de coleta de dados. Os resultados oriundos das análises revelaram que é necessário se conhecer a matemática oriunda do cotidiano, porém é dada pouca relevância, por parte de muitos professores, ao conhecimento prévio do aluno. Dessa forma, a reflexão crítica sobre o saber matemático deve ser vista com seriedade.

Abstract:
This work originated from a survey in which 14 students from two classes of the III level of the 2nd segment of Elementary Education of Youth and Adults, the Municipal School Amadeu Araújo, developed at the free fair in the city of Natal, to understand the way in which Mathematics in everyday life presents itself before the difficulties that the students have in understanding the Rational Numbers, in the decimal representation, their operations and their relation with everyday situations. The problematic of the study was how to promote a learning with meanings of the numbers and their operations with the students of EJA, when it relates the mathematics they study and the mathematics of the fair free? The main objective is to analyze the fair as a learning environment that establishes relations with the mathematics content presented in the classroom. The methodological course of this work began with a bibliographic survey and then the research was anchored in the ideas of Fiorentini and Lorenzato (2009); as well as in the studies of Bicudo (2005) and Freire (1996). Soon after, the subjects and the locus of the research were defined, guided by the object of study, as well as the instrument of data collection. The results from the analyses revealed that it is necessary to know the mathematics from everyday life, but is given little relevance, by many teachers, to the previous knowledge of the student. Thus, critical reflection on mathematical knowledge must be taken seriously.
