OS 40 ANOS DA ASSOCIAÇÃO DOS MÚSICOS BATISTAS DO BRASIL E SUA CONTRIBUIÇÃO PARA A MUSICA BRASILEIRA
Este capítulo registra os 40 anos da Associação dos Músicos Batistas do Brasil, uma entidade auxiliar da Convenção Batista Brasileira, cujo papel é reunir como associados músicos que trabalham remuneradamente ou voluntariamente em igrejas batistas brasileiras ligadas àquela Convenção. Através de levantamento documental, reconstroi o histórico da associação e aponta seu papel na educação musical batista brasileira ao longo de sua existência como instituição. A pesquisa é exploratória e documental, para averbação histórica, com o objetivo de auxiliar no registro científico da memória da instituição e seu papel no Brasil, bem como contribuir aos estudos sobre o tema, no recorte geográfico entre os anos de 1982-2022. Conclui que a entidade tem relevante papel para a Convenção Batista Brasileira, seus músicos distribuídos em todo o Brasil e no exterior, bem como para o fomento da prática e da educação musical no Brasil, inclusive integrando o país no panorama global através de parcerias, congressos, intercâmbios culturais, dentre outras atividades.

Abstract:
This chapter records the 40 years of the Associação dos Músicos Batistas do Brasil, an auxiliary entity of the Brazilian Baptist Convention, whose role is to bring together musicians who work remunerated or voluntarily in Brazilian Baptist churches linked to that Convention as associates. Through a documentary survey, it reconstructs the history of the association and points out its role in Brazilian Baptist music education throughout its existence as an institution. The research is exploratory and documentary, for historical registration, with the objective of registering the memory of the institution and its role in Brazil, as well as contributing to studies on the subject, in the geographical cut between the years 1982-2022. It concludes that the entity has a relevant role for the Brazilian Baptist Convention, its musicians distributed throughout Brazil and abroad, as well as for the promotion of musical practice and education in Brazil, including integrating the country into the global panorama through partnerships, congresses, cultural exchanges, among other activities.
