ORTOREXIA NERVOSA: FATORES QUE INFLUENCIAM O SURGIMENTO DO TRANSTORNO EM ADULTOS
Descrita como um comportamento obsessivo patológico, a ortorexia nervosa caracteriza-se pela fixação por saúde alimentar, qualidade dos alimentos e pureza da dieta. O quadro foi recentemente reconhecido como um Transtorno Alimentar Não Especificado e por isso ainda discute-se o conceito, suas características, interação e sintomas. No presente trabalho, foram apontadas as características gerais da ortorexia nervosa e foi realizada uma revisão de literatura de cinquenta e cinco artigos publicados em português e inglês, no período de 2009 a 2019. Para análise de dados, os artigos foram separados de acordo com os fatores que influenciam o surgimento da ortorexia nervosa em adultos. Os estudos apontaram que existem grupos mais vulneráveis para desenvolver a ortorexia nervosa e fatores psicossociais podem influenciar no seu desencadeamento e manutenção. É importante ressaltar a relevância do tema na sociedade contemporânea, pois pôde-se observar durante esta revisão que as pesquisas sobre o assunto aumentaram nos últimos anos, porém, ainda são necessários mais estudos para descrever de modo mais completo o comportamento ortoréxico, sua etiologia, possível diagnóstico e tratamento.

Abstract:
Described as pathological obsessive behavior, orthorexia nervosa is characterized by fixation by food health, food quality and diet purity. The condition has recently been recognized as an Unspecified Eating Disorder and therefore the concept, its characteristics, interaction and symptoms are still discussed. In the present study, the general characteristics of orthorexia nervosa were pointed out and a literature review of fifty-five articles published in Portuguese and English, from 2009 to 2019, was performed. For data analysis, the articles were separated according to factors that influence the emergence of orthorexia nervosa in adults. Studies have shown that there are more vulnerable groups to develop orthorexia nervosa and biopsychosocial factors may influence its triggering and maintenance. It is important to emphasize the relevance of the theme in contemporary society, as it was observed during this review that research on the subject has increased in recent years, but further studies are still needed to more fully describe the orthorexic behavior, its etiology, possible diagnosis and
treatment.
