ORIGEM DO SERVIÇO DE PARQUES INFANTIS NO ESTADO DO AMAZONAS
O objetivo deste estudo, resultante
de uma pesquisa de mestrado, é compreender
os aspectos históricos dos Parques Infantis no
Estado do Amazonas. A história social e cultural
fundamenta esta pesquisa sobre a realidade
educacional e social das décadas de 1930 e
1940 no Amazonas, construindo relações entre
os cenários local, nacional e mundial. Por meio
de pesquisa documental, foram analisadas
1872 publicações de Diários Oficiais do Estado
do Amazonas entre os anos de 1937 a 1943,
dos quais apenas 178 documentos traziam
alguma informação sobre o tema. Em 1940 o
prefeito de Manaus Antônio Botelho Maia cria o
Serviço Municipal de Parques Infantis na capital
e inicia a construção do primeiro Parque Infantil
no Parque 10 de novembro que foi inaugurado
no dia 19 de abril de 1943, em homenagem ao
aniversário do então presidente Getúlio Vargas.
No dia 6 de setembro de 1944, inaugurava-se
um velódromo em um outro PI: o Parque Infantil
Ribeiro Júnior, em comemoração à Semana
da Pátria, onde foi possível perceber o caráter
cívico e patriótico que se revelava na finalidade
eugênica destes espaços educativos não
formais.

Abstract:
The objective of this study, resulting
from a master's research, is the historical aspect
of the Children's Parks in the State of Amazonas.
The social and cultural history of research on
the educational and social reality of the 1930s
and 1940s in the Amazon, in the country and in
the world. Through documentary research, 1872
publications of Official Gazettes of the State of
Amazonas were analyzed between 1937 and
1943, of which only 178 documents brought
some information about the subject. In 1940 the
mayor of Manaus Antônio Botelho Maia creates
the Municipal Service of Children's Parks in
the capital and begins the construction of the
first Children's Park in Parque 10 de Novembro
which was inaugurated on April 19, 1943, in
honor of the birthday of then President Getúlio
Vargas. On September 6, 1944, inaugurated
in November 2011, the Infantile Park Ribeiro
Júnior, in commemoration of the Week of the
Motherland, was an event that could be civic
and patriotic that was revealed in the eugenic
exhibition of no formal educational spaces.
