Olhar do enfermeiro frente a finitude da vida e o processo de luto na infância
Introdução: A enfermagem desenvolve um importante papel na prestação de cuidados a pacientes pediátricos em fase de finitude da vida, haja vista, serem os profissionais que estão diretamente ligados ao ato do cuidado, uma vez que a hospitalização infantil é um momento perturbador para aqueles que mantêm laços afetivos com a criança, portanto o enfermeiro não deve se limitar ao cuidado somente do paciente, estendendo-se também a sua família e deve estar preparado para trabalhar o processo de luto, principalmente daqueles que mantém relações diretas com a criança, que apresentam uma grande dificuldade na aceitação da morte. Objetivo: Analisar os fatores intervenientes à atuação do enfermeiro frente a finitude da vida infantil e o processo de luto vivenciado pelas famílias. Método: O presente estudo contou com uma linha de pesquisa de natureza básica, em abordagem qualitativa e descritiva tendo objetivo exploratório. Foi uma pesquisa de campo com desenvolvimento no tempo de maneira longitudinal. A pesquisa foi realizada em uma Hospital Universitário da Região Serrana do Rio de Janeiro no primeiro semestre de 2022, contando com a participação de 07 enfermeiros, que assinaram o Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido (TCLE), A referida pesquisa teve início após a aprovação da Plataforma Brasil, no dia 19/04/2022 e respeitou as normas estabelecidas pelas Resoluções nº 466/2012 e nº510/2016, que garantiram que o responsável pela pesquisa se comprometia em assegurar os direitos e deveres que dizem respeito aos participantes da pesquisa, à comunidade científica e ao Estado, devendo atender aos fundamentos éticos e científicos pertinentes presentes em tais resoluções. Discussão: A partir dos questionários foi realizado uma pré-análise dos conteúdos com uma leitura flutuante do material, com base na exaustividade, representatividade, homogeneidade e pertinência do conteúdo, formulação de hipóteses e preparo do material; exploração do material que consiste na categorização do conteúdo obtido; e, o tratamento dos resultados obtidos e interpretação foi feita por meio da inferência, que é um tipo de interpretação controlada. Para compreensão de quais são os fatores intervenientes à atuação do enfermeiro frente a finitude da vida infantil e o processo de luto vivenciado pelas famílias, as seguintes categorias foram definidas: Maiores desafios enfrentados pelos enfermeiros no processo de morte infantil; fragilidades no processo de vivência do luto; e, cuidados paliativos. Conclusão: É perceptível que a morte é um assunto pouco discutido na atualidade, apesar de ser uma situação presente na vida dos profissionais que lidam diretamente com isso, o que torna como consequência a dificuldade de lidar com esse momento, até mesmo para enfermeiros que trabalhem constantemente com essa realidade. Portanto, cabe a nós buscar capacitação e preparo para quebrar as barreiras obscuras relacionadas a essa temática e a prestar a melhor assistência para a criança que está partindo, bem como para a família que se vê tão despreparada para viver uma morte tão precoce.

Abstract:
Introduction: Nursing plays an important role in providing care to pediatric patients at the end of life, given that they are professionals who are directly linked to the act of care, since childhood hospitalization is a disturbing moment for those who maintain affective bonds with the child, so nurses should not limit themselves to caring only for the patient, also extending themselves to their family and must be prepared to work on the grieving process, especially those who maintain direct relationships with the child, who have great difficulty in accepting death. Objective: To analyze the factors intervening in the nurse's role in the face of the finitude of children's lives and the grieving process experienced by families. Method: The present study had a basic research line, in a qualitative and descriptive approach with an exploratory objective. It was a field research with development in time in a longitudinal way. The research was carried out at a University Hospital in the Serrana Region of Rio de Janeiro in the first half of 2022, with the participation of 07 nurses, who signed the Free and Informed Consent Term (ICF). of Plataforma Brasil, on 04/19/2022 and respected the rules established by Resolutions No. 466/2012 and No. 510/2016, which ensured that the person responsible for the research was committed to ensuring the rights and duties that concern research participants, to the scientific community and the State, and must comply with the relevant ethical and scientific foundations present in such resolutions. Discussion: based on the questionnaires, a pre-analysis of the contents was carried out with a fluctuating reading of the material, based on the exhaustiveness, representativeness, homogeneity and relevance of the content, formulation of hypotheses and preparation of the material; exploration of the material that consists of categorizing the content obtained; and, the treatment of the results obtained and interpretation will be done through inference, which is a type of controlled interpretation. In order to understand what are the factors involved in the nurse's role in the face of the finitude of child life and the grieving process experienced by families, the following categories were defined: Major challenges faced by nurses in the child death process; weaknesses in the process of experiencing grief; and, palliative care. Conclusion: It is noticeable that death is a subject little discussed today, despite being a situation present in the lives of professionals who deal directly with it, which makes it difficult to deal with this moment, even for nurses who work constantly with that reality. Therefore, it is up to us to seek training and preparation to break the obscure barriers related to this theme and to provide the best care for the child who is leaving, as well as for the family that is so unprepared to live such an early death.
